Assistant Accountants contribute to the effective operation of finance teams, supporting internal and external stakeholders across a wide range of organisations. This apprenticeship offers structured training in financial accounting, cyber-security awareness, and professional judgement—providing a solid foundation for progression within the finance sector.
Overview
Apprentices will develop key skills and behaviours to support progression towards the level 3 apprenticeship. The role will involve assisting in the day-to-day financial activities.
In addition, the assistant accountant may find themselves involved in regulatory financial requirements such as the completion of VAT returns.
Qualification
AAT L3 Diploma in Accounting
End Point Assessment Organisation
The Association of Accounting Technicians
EPA / Apprenticeship Assessment
- Knowledge test
- Interview with a portfolio
- Apprentices can also work towards Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English, if not already exempt
