Full information about the current minimum wage for apprentices in the UK can be found here.
Not necessarily. While many employers do offer permanent positions at the end of an apprenticeship, it isn’t a requirement.
For most employers, the cost of apprenticeship training is shared with the government. Non-levy employers typically pay 5% of training costs, with the government covering 95%. Levy-paying employers can use their funds, and transfer up to 25% of unused levy to support smaller organisations. Employers may also receive a £1,000 incentive for hiring eligible apprentices.
Absolutely. Many apprentices we support at CT Skills are already employed within their business. There’s no age limit, and with available funding, it’s a cost-effective way to develop your people.
It’s a minimum of 6 hours per week over the apprenticeship duration, including activities like job shadowing, mentoring, independent study, online modules, project work, and workshops. This will be discussed and tailored for your organisation.
