Marketing Executive
What do you do in the business?
I’m a Marketing Executive at CT Skills, and I’m part of the marketing team, where I get to work on a wide variety of creative and strategic projects. My role involves everything from planning campaigns to producing content that helps bring CT Skills to life. I especially enjoy writing blog articles, crafting social media posts, and filming video content. Anything that allows me to tell a story and connect with our audience in a meaningful way is a highlight for me. I also collaborate with other teams across the business to make sure our messaging is consistent and aligned with our wider goals. Whether it’s launching a new initiative or refining our tone of voice, I love being involved in the creative process and seeing ideas come to life.
What’s your background?
My background is in marketing, primarily within recruitment agencies and B2B services. I’ve been working in the industry for around six years, starting out with social media content and gradually expanding my skill set. A couple of years into my career, I began applying my writing skills to longer-form content such as blogs and website copy, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of brand voice and audience engagement. I studied English Language and Linguistics at university, which gave me a solid foundation in writing and copywriting. These are skills I use every day to create clear, engaging content that supports our marketing goals. Over time, I’ve built a strong understanding of how to communicate effectively with different audiences and tailor messaging to suit their needs. One of the things I love most about marketing is the blend of creativity and strategy. I enjoy turning complex ideas into digestible, engaging formats, whether that’s a blog post, a short-form video, or a social media series. I’m also confident using a range of tools including CMS platforms, social schedulers, and video editing software, and I’m always looking for ways to improve and grow.
What’s the best piece of careers advice you've received or given?
One piece of career advice that’s really stuck with me is that culture and values fit is more important than you think. Working for a company that aligns with your personality and principles makes a huge difference to your overall happiness and success. When the culture fits, collaboration is smoother, creativity flows more freely, and work feels more meaningful.
