Apprenticeship Delivery Manager

What do you do in the business?

Hi, I’m Amanda Jepson, Apprenticeship Delivery Manager at CT Skills. My role is to coach, lead, and support a team of ten assessors within the Business Skills team. Having started my own career as a Business Administration apprentice, supporting apprentices who are beginning their own journeys is especially meaningful to me.

What’s your background?

I was fortunate to begin my apprenticeship journey as an Admin Assistant for a training provider, and from early on I knew I wanted to progress into an assessor role. I achieved my assessor qualification as I developed within the company and spent more than ten years supporting apprentices. Looking for a new challenge, I then moved into management roles including Team Leader and Programme and Operations Manager. I have now worked in the sector for over 25 years, and it remains a pleasure to see apprentices complete their qualifications, reach key milestones, and progress within their chosen careers. CT Skills feels like a family — everyone genuinely wants the best for learners, clients, colleagues, and peers, and will do everything they can to support them.

What’s the best piece of careers advice you have received or given?

The most memorable advice a director gave me when I began my apprenticeship was: “Be curious and always ask questions.” It helped me understand the industry and is something that has stayed with me throughout my career.
